The S.P.I.N. Members would like to make an announcement.
First of all, we have a couple people question what the S.P.I.N. Organization was even about. I would like to take this time and tell you:
S.P.I.N. stands for Suggie Protection and Information Network
We, here at SPIN, are about Education. Not only do we wish to be able to educate those who are in the process of getting gliders, but also those who have gliders living in their homes already. There are many a folk out there that do not venture onto Sugar Glider Forums that we come into contact with. There are also a lot of Sugar Glider owners out there, that love their gliders as much as we do, however, unfortunately they were completely misinformed on how to care for their little furballs. Education is the first step in helping to create a good home for Gliders.
We also attend (when possible) different Trade Shows and Other Venues and pass out fliers, brochures, pamphlets and try to educate folks about gliders and their care.
There are also times when it is needed for us to take in a re-home or rescue glider. Although we at SPIN have decided that unless it is an emergency situation, we will now be sending folks that call us with re-homes/rescues to other Legitimate Rescue Homes and if that Rescue Home needs our assistance, we have asked them to contact SPIN and if we are able to financially, time wise and space wise, we will be more than happy to assist. This however, does NOT mean we will not be willing to help in a case such as the one we just took in.

S.P.I.N. is OFFICIALLY A REGISTERED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION in the State Of Florida!!We would like to take this time to thank all of you who have and continue to help and support SPIN and the changes we are striving to make to better the lives of not only Sugar Gliders, but also their owners.
We would also like to say, Please do NOT hesitate to contact us if you have ANY questions or comments or suggestions. We have been told by others that there have been some that have questions about SPIN but are too afraid to come forward and ask. I am here to tell you, there is NO reason for ANYONE to ever feel they can not approach any of the SPIN board members. We are here to help in any way we can.
