The Mill Breeder Projects filing for a 501 (c)(4)
The Mill Breeder Project is pleased to announce that we have filed our Articles of Incorporation with the Kansas Secretary of State, and are now Certified.
ARTICLE III- PURPOSE
The corporation is organized and shall operate exclusively for the purposes of promoting social welfare and civic betterment by:
1. Undertaking and supporting programs that support animal welfare at the federal, state and local levels through the mobilization of public opinion; the promotion of animal friendly practices, policies and procedures within the corporation; and the reform of laws, enactment of remedial legislation, and promotion of changes in public policy.
2. Disseminating best practices for animal shelters, animal care and animal control agencies developed by members of the corporation.
3. The corporation will actively pursue and distribute funds to qualified animal organizations, or individuals for the purpose of medical sterilization, population control programs or other necessary veterinary treatment, and collect veterinary records and medical data for the purpose of correlating with the CDC to protect the general public from animal related communicable diseases.
In pursuance of these purposes, the corporation shall have the powers to do all things necessary, proper, and consistent with maintaining its tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(4). All references to sections in these articles refer to the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or to comparable sections of subsequent internal revenue codes. Not withstanding any other provision of these articles or of any bylaws adopted there under, the corporation shall not take any action not permitted by the laws that then apply to it.
