| Due to unforseen personal circumstances, Alicia "QueenDuck" will not be hosting the SGGA this year nor will it be in Newton Kansas, We are hoping however that next year that will be a a possibilty. So there is no confusion, We have asked that Elena Hill of Hill Haven Sugar Gliders, host the SGGA this year. She has found a wonderful place in Quincy Illinois, it is a little smaller than we are accustomed to, however, we feel that it will satisfy our needs this year. There will be some changes, but nothing we can't live with I am sure. The variety of rooms available also have a variety of pricing, many eateries within walking distance and a down home atmoshere to help make this SGGA, just as wonderful, if not better than the 12 in the past. the website for the 2011 SGGA will be located at http://www.sgga.info, it should be ready for registrations with updated information by march 1st, 2011 | |

| Let me start by first thanking Bourbon for asking me to help with this year's SGGA. Yes, I did agree to host this year. So let the planning begin! We've a great location chosen in Quincy, IL and instead of small I prefer the word quaint. The hotel has a rustic backwoods feel that I just love. If you'd like a sneak peek check it out here http://stoneycreekinn.com/locations/index.cfm/Quincy. More details will be coming soon so stay tuned! | |

| YAY for Quincy! I've been to the Stoney Creek hotel a few times and it is a very nice hotel. The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub are amazing. The hotel is on the smaller side but it's one of the nicest in Quincy. It's also surrounded by tons of food and shopping. I can't wait to see how it turns out. | |

The hotel looks amazing! And I cant wait to be able to register and make my reservation!
Sherri, I was able to tour the hotel last month and it is amazing. It's a bit smaller than what we typically use but is BIG on cozy, quaint, charming, etc. It has a ton of things right next to it, fast food and sit down places to eat, a pet store accross the street, Hobby Lobby (I think) $ stores, Wal Mart down the streed and Quincy has a great childrens fun zone (can't remember the name of it) and of course it is the birth place of my sweet grandson Bentley. I am not sick (crazy yes) at all. I am not hosting the SGGA this year because my priorities and support system has changed since last July. While going to the SGGA is still high on my priority list, hosting it is not. My limited vacation and free time will be spent with those closest to me, friends and family, not organizing the SGGA. I made this choice several months ago and I am so sorry if it has caused any inconvience for any of you. It was the best choice for me and those I am closest to. I am sorry that notification couldn't have been made public sooner, but I understand that finding a new location, contracts and such at the last minute... does take time. I support the SGGA, Bourbon, and Elana 100%. And like I said, I do plan on attending but I can not commit myself to hosting such an event this year. I have been involved in several phone calls helping to plan this years SGGA and they do have some great things planned. I am still excited to go and I think others should be too. I actually like this hotel better than some we have had in the past and I think a change is just what the SGGA needed. Cora, it does sadden my that you won't make it. No, you can't miss an SGGA, it won't be the same w/o you. I'll update more when I have time. I am at work right now.

Probably won't get a hotel room since I live like 3 miles away(if that), definately not vending but we will for sure be there to visit with everyone.

| Well, it was quite the experience... some little kid peed in the tunnel and it all seriousness for a while. Then they opened everything back up again and fun was had by all. | |

| I have to admit, I've played there a few times. It is a lot of fun if your in good enough shape to crawl through all the tunnels and everything. | |

| I've heard there are questions about wiether TGI is involved with this year's SGGA because I am the hostess. Let me clear that misconception up right now. TGI is NOT involved. I (Elena) am doing this. Yes, I am a TGI board member but I am also my own person and am doing this on my own. | |

| There is a rumor going around that we are already sold out of Double Bed rooms at the hotel. THis is NOT true. I am at the hotel and checked our group block and at this time we still have 17 rooms with double beds available at the hotel as well as rooms with king beds and bunk beds. Suites are also available if you want to upgrade, but those rooms are not held in the block. Please be sure to mention that you are with the SGGA otherwise they will tell you that there are no double rooms open (because we took them all) | |

| Our standard room with either a king bed or 2 doubles is $89.00 a night plus tax plus a flat pet fee of $10.00. If you really want to spoil yourself we also have fireplace and jacuzzi suites! I don't remember the prices for those rooms off the top of my head, but it has been agreed that with all upgraded rooms we will get the AAA rate. | |

| Sorry Lauren I was waiting to see if we had a fourm here for this year, as I've been told that people can't find this thread, before posting the details. But as people need to know I'll post now and repost if we do get a fourm later. Details will follow. | |

| Elena, standard king and standard double are the same price. Do you know what the Expanded Double has that the Deluxe King doesn't for the extra $18/night? I can call and find out, but figured you probably already know! | |

| Both the expanded double and the deluxe king have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The main difference is in the size of the room. Our expanded double room is a BIG room and very nice. I believe it also has 2 cushy chairs rather than just one (at least they used to, but I haven't looked since we got new chairs in) Deluxe rooms physically aren't as large as expanded rooms, tho they are larger than the standard room | |

| I just reserved a room for me and my daughter. Had to call the direct hotel number because there were only standard rooms left when I called the 800 number. Mia at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. I was hoping for a deluxe king ($95/night), but they only had expanded doubles ($113/night). So... we'll just spread out and enjoy the extra room! We're arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday. | |

Yup the 800 people have no clue so call the hotel direct to get the rooms. Better yet call when Chris is on duty and she'll set you up right.

| If you call the 800 number after 10pm it should ring to the hotel directly. Our Central Reservation people are off by then so it wouldn't automatically transfer. It can be tricky tho if you hurry though the menu without really listening.....very easy to end up at the wrong hotel. | |
